Dr. Joseph Palumbo leverages his diverse clinical expertise to help patients achieve beautiful, confident smiles. His compassionate, patient-focused approach provides comfort and ensures exceptional results for everyone he treats.

Dr. Palumbo has earned numerous academic credits including:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry, 1997
  • Completed an advanced residency in general dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY

He co-founded East Lyme Family & Cosmetic Dentistry with Dr. Yousuf in 2000. He has also earned a fellowship in dental implants from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

In addition, he has completed advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers at the prestigious Rosenthal Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry, NYC.

Dr. Palumbo stays at the forefront of dental advancements through active involvement in:

  • International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology

Fantastic office . New to area when I called the ladies were so so kind and welcoming . I had my first visit yesterday 10/29/2024 . When I arrived to the office I was greeted by the two front office people . They were so kind and welcoming . As I sat there I watched everyone who walked in and walked out was treated so kind with the upmost respect .Also the Doctor himself came out to get me , he stated " he likes to do this to first time patients to build a relationship with us "! How awesome is this ! He was so great with me and helped me with my situation and before I left he let me know he would be in touch with me over my cell to check on me in a day or two to see if my issue has gotten better. I left the office with a smile on my face . This office is hand down a 10/10 . I feel very blessed to be a part of this office .I look forward to seeing them in the future . I canceled my prior plan, and instead subscribed to East Lyme Family Dentistry's own annual discount plan. For a reasonable annual fee, it fully and immediately covers 2 exams with cleanings and any X-rays, and also provides an immediate 20% discount on any additional needed work such as fillings or crowns. Dr. Palumbo and Brianna immediately took care of a filling with an unusually genial, gentle, and pleasantly unhurried manner. Their calmly relaxed and careful way made me also feel more relaxed throughout it.
